General Effects



The following effects are directly carried over from FamiTracker: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, A, B, C, D, F, G, P, Q, R, S.


Channel-Specific Effects



Nxx - Pan setting.
Valid range = 00 - 1F
If xx = 00: Disable L/R output
If xx = 01: Left output only
If xx = 02-0F: Pan towards left, reduces right volume (hardpans for PSG)
If xx = 10: Center output
If xx = 11-1E: Pan towards right, reduces left volume (hardpans for PSG)
If xx = 1F: Right output only

Applies to: PSG, T6W28


NCx - Channel swap.
Exchanges the registers for channel x and channel 3. Allows any "Square channel" to control the noise channel's pitch.
Valid range = 1 - 3

Applies to: SN76489


NEx - Noise reset enable.
Valid range = 0 - 1
If x = 0: New notes do not reset the noise phase, unless duty or its own pitch is changed
If x = 1: New notes always reset the noise phase; also resets it immediately

Applies to: SN76489 Noise


Vxx - Noise channel output setting.
Valid range = 00 - 01
If xx = 00: Long (white) noise
If xx = 01: Short (periodic) noise

Applies to: SN76489 Noise
